Aloe Blacc- I Need a Dollar
Before I begin, this song is unlike anything else I have put here on my blog before. So yes, I do have an interest in more than one genre of music, and this song definitely shows it. Aloe Blacc featured on this weeks Jools Holland (and what a mighty good line up he had!), and immediately blew me away. Previously the iTunes ‘Single of the Week’, ’ I Need a Dollar’ is a song with funk and soul. It’s a sassy song to set the mood, with Blacc’s velvet voice being a perfect compliment. Reminding me of John Legend, I’m definitely going to give him a dollar by buying his new album ‘Good Things’. The best thing about Mr Blacc however is not his soulful, sexy songs and voice, oh no, it’s that his real name is Egbert. Still interested ladies?
